Conference Theme
“COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION TO ACHIEVE WATER QUALITY GOALS” is this year’s conference theme and will feature a full day of in-depth workshops (September 22) and two full days of concurrent session presentations (September 23 and 24).  The following conference theme tracks will be included:
 
INNOVATIONS IN RESEARCH This track is intended for researchers and practitioners involved in applied research to present the latest advances in stormwater science, source identification, program management and treatment technologies that can assist agencies achieve their water quality goals.
 
POLICY This track will focus on the collaborative process and how it has been utilized to develop stormwater policies.  Presentations will also address related issues such as permits, statewide stormwater policy, basin planning, Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) implementation through permits, Areas of Special Biological Significance (ASBS), etc.
 
PLANNING This track will focus on innovative planning initiatives at both an individual facility/jurisdiction level and a multi facility/jurisdiction level (TMDL implementation plans, hydromodification plans, Integrated Regional Watershed Management Plans (IRWMP), Low Impact Development (LID), etc).
 
IMPLEMENTATION This track will focus on presentations that feature innovative approaches related to the operation and maintenance of core stormwater program elements (public education, municipal operations, inspections, enforcement, etc) and BMPs (treatment control, source control, and LID).

 ASSESSMENT This track is intended for stormwater and facility managers to present successes (or lessons learned) in demonstrating stormwater program effectiveness using the CASQA six level outcome pyramid or other assessment tools.
